History
Having started out as a soup kitchen in 1987, the project has been established for over 20 years. In 1999, after losing several clients, the founder, Bridget Crowther, decided to take the project forward and turn it into a drop in centre as she realised that the soup kitchen was not enough. At the end of 2007 the project moved to new, better equipped premises in order to offer clients a wider range of support services as their needs have become more complex.
2008 saw new trustees and a new Centre Manager. The project is now undergoing a huge amount of development work to enhance the way the service works and is delivered. The drop in centre is now a Day Centre with a structured support programme for clients.
